I just wanted thought I should take the time to say thank you very much for the wonderful opportunities afforded to me via the Walter Chmela bursary and everyone involved at the club. The time and experiences I had there have introduced me to an entirely new world and the people I have met I hope to keep meeting year after year at the club, and also hope to know for many years. What YFC and YSA do for youth, the environment they provide and the welcoming and talented instructors (as well as every single person being welcoming and accomodating) brought something I had yet to experience, and make me look forward to many long years of doing something I am truly passionate about with people who feel the same. I would like to give special thanks to Charles Peterson, for everything he does for Youth Flight Canada as well as Freedom Wings. Without him and people like him, things such as this would not be possible. I would also like to give special thanks to Jock, Paul C. ,Roberto Centazzo, and John.Brake (I apologize in advance for any mispellings!) for the flights they did with me, and the extra time and care they took helping me with anything I might have had to ask. Also, I am glad to say that as of today I have done my first solo in a powered A/C as well on the 4th day of the Cadet Power Pilot Scholarship and am also glad to say that I am to my knowledge the 1st in Ontario to complete their first solo. I hope to bring back the new skills I have received on course and see you all in August!
Also, I have read about an SAC bursary available with reccomendation from the CFI of the club. I would also appreciate if I am able to apply if I am elligible. Well, anyways, regardless of the outcome, I cannot wait to see everyone again at the club in August. Please extend my best wishes to all the cadets currently attending course with the club and if you believe it will be beneficial, also extend to them my email so that if they have questions about conversion, pilot training achievment awards, the power pilot scholarship, or whatever may be the case, they can email me and I will either provide them with the information or refer them to through the proper channels so that they may be ahead once licensed. Being under command of CRGS I have a more direct link to the officers which will need to be contacted so I may be able to help them out.
