Course Pre-requisites

  • Glider Pilot License

Badge requirements

You are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Glider Pilot License
  • 10 hours minimum Pilot-in-Command time
  • Two soaring flights with duration of 2 hours or more
  • 3 consistent spot landings
  • Off-field landing selection exercises
  • Off-field circuit planning exercises
  • Map reading exercise
  • Final glide exercise
  • Glider rigging, de-rigging, and trailering
  • Advanced instrumentation knowledge
  • Take the exam

What to expect on your training flights

The course will focus on building the skills you need for cross-country flight and for achieving your Bronze Badge. Expect intensive coursework and theory as well as in-aircraft training flights focused on soaring and achieving the 2 hour duration requirements of the badge.

What happens after you're done?

Get your Badge! Once you are done the course, you may or may not have all the requirements to get your Bronze Badge.
